Effects of AI-Simulated Peer versus Expert Mentorship in Virtual Reality Laboratory Skills Training

This study investigates the effectiveness of artificial intelligence (AI) agents providing guidance modeled after peer-level versus expert-level mentors during micropipette training in a virtual reality (VR) environment. Participants interact with either a peer-like or an expert-like AI agent, receiving tailored instructional feedback as they complete micropipette-related tasks. The research aims to compare user performance outcomes, learning retention, user confidence, and user preference between these two forms of AI-guided instruction. Insights from this study will contribute to understanding how the perceived authority level of AI mentors influences skill acquisition and learner engagement in immersive virtual lab training.

Shroom Splicer

Led the programming in mushroom genetic algorithms to be able to produce different types of
mushrooms here and was responsible for blueprints, programming, and data implementation here.
